More Quest-Like Blogs

In response to my previous "The End" post, a person emailed me asking for some tips to help promote their new "quest" blog.

Her blog is http://questfortherightone.blogspot.com. Seems like she's off to a good start!

But...can you say trademark infringement? ;-) hehe. Just kidding.

She also asked me for some tips on getting traffic. Off the top of my head, here are my tips:

  1. The key to getting people to read your blog is to read other people's blogs and comment on them. Write interesting comments and not just comments for the sake of commenting! People will click on your profile link and check out your blog. If they like your blog, they'll subscribe to it.
  2. In the same theme of #1, engage other bloggers. Reply to posts of other blogs via your blog. Then go to that blog and tell them so via the comments section. This will get you new readers.
  3. Last but definitely not least...write good material. If your writing is interesting and useful to people, they will keep coming back.

You can also google for more tips. I'm sure there's a ton out there.

And if anyone else has a "quest-like" blog or site that you'd like people to know of. Just email me and I'll post it here.

In your previous blog, when you wrote good bye, I thought you stopped writing, but glad you are still writing. Any ways why did you say good bye?

Reema: I said good bye because I'm not planning to pro-actively write new stuff...but if someone asks me a specific question that I think is helpful to people then I might post...

AA Quest and all,

I think your readers might be interested in reading the following article on the challenges that single Muslims in the U.S. face in finding a spouse: http://www.sacbee.com/religion/story/1459274.html

As mentioned in the article, there is a Muslim singles event scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2008 at masjid SALAM in Sacramento, California. I hope that many of your readers will attend and help us to spread the word.

Jazakum Allahu khayran!

salam Quest,
Any advice on how to interact/deal with your ex-rishta who are still trying to get you? Esp: when both of you attend the university?! How to Be assertive when you are very conservative girl?

As a sensitive, fully conscious girl I'm well aware that my rishtas have sent out these agents to check out on my character? It's irritating and I'm becoming paranoid!!! Is it silly to disregard such rishtas who value tight security points? C
